Tracing Problems in DB2

These traces can be used for problem determination:

  • DB2 trace

  • IMS attachment facility trace

  • CICS trace

  • Three TSO attachment facility traces

  • CAF trace stream

  • OS/390 RRS trace stream

  • MVS component trace used for IRLM

DB2 Traces

DB2 trace allows you to trace and record subsystem data and events. There are five different types of trace. DB2 trace can record six types of data: statistics, accounting, audit, performance, monitor, and global.
