Conventional Thinking
Quite often business is likened to a game, with its boardgame rules and strategies, and its end goal trophies and prizes. Chess, Monopoly, and Risk are prime examples, encompassing clashing teams, or real estate one-upmanship (“one-upwomanship”?) or even world domination. In the grand scheme of things, that thinking is child’s play compared to the real world of business.
Commonplace comparisons between business and sports are somewhat more appropriate. Business and sports share commonality.
