6 Icicles
Introduction
In this tutorial we’re going to simulate an icicle formation. This will take on two forms – initially the basic construction of the icicle geometry derived from a surfaced particle system, and secondly the final material using an Arch & Design material with varying refraction glossiness and density colors to remove the “CG” feel from the image. Finally we’ll throw in a touch of depth of field to give the resulting render a nice macro effect.
