This chapter goes beyond the introductory "Hello World" examples to describe the usage of the VoiceXML language in greater detail. In particular, this chapter will examine:
the various uses of the VoiceXML dialogs, audio input and output, and application control flow;
the VoiceXML event model and how to use events in constructing an effective VoiceXML application;
how VoiceXML uses grammars to interpret user input; and
how to build complex VoiceXML applications.
