You don’t have to use Device Stage to sync MP3 (and other compatible) players. You can use Windows Media Player if you’d rather. You may have noticed the Sync tab, shown in Figure 12-7. As shown here, after connecting a compatible device, you simply drag media to the Sync pane and, when ready, click Start Sync.

You can also click the small icon under the Sync tab and select Set Up Sync to configure what should sync and what should not, and to have the sync occur automatically anytime you connect the device (see Figure 12-8).
