A diagnosis of dementia gives you and your family a chance to plan for the future. So while your head will still no doubt be in a complete spin just taking in the fact that you have dementia and what that may mean to you and your family medically and physically over the coming months and years, it’s important also to make plans about the more practical side of your life to avoid any problems later with care or finances. Doing so as early as possible, while you’re still able to make decisions for yourself, is an excellent idea.
