Proper planning is a critical step to any successful Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) deployment. Understanding the business goals, project goals, expected results, and technical requirements when deploying WAAS helps to ensure that the proposed solution and design can meet those goals. Most problems encountered during the deployment of a WAAS solution stem from not having a complete understanding of the environment in which the solution is deployed.
