Interior Intrusion Sensors

The design of an interior intrusion detection system requires a thorough knowledge of the operational, physical, and environmental characteristics of the facility to be protected. In addition, the designer must be familiar with the broad spectrum of sensors available, how the sensors interact with the adversary and the environment, and the physical principles on which each of the sensors depends for its operation. This chapter will address interior intrusion sensor technology. Figure 7.1 shows the example interior layout that will be used throughout this chapter.
