Process Applications
This chapter provides a discussion of how the principles described for designing and evaluating a PPS can also be applied to other security applications. Although the basic principles and process can be shown to work within any security application, such as retail, hotels, museums, subways, ports, and critical infrastructure protection, this chapter will discuss only three—executive protection, ground transportation, and cyber systems. None of these areas are discussed in great detail; that is not really the goal. Rather, it is our hope that by showing how the same process and principles are applied, we can establish some common views of security system design, integration, and implementation.
