Experimentation will always be part of the design process, but many design-
ers find that there are practical and creative benefits to working with struc-
tures and known models. Defining a working process and following some
basic guidelines for when and how to use color in design projects can save
time and make color selection easier.
The following set of rules provides a useful structure to begin selecting the
