Leveling up rituals

There are initiation rituals for new members—ways to help novices become part of the community, which is the role that initiation basically serves. But there are also rituals that demarcate other levels of membership within a community that you don't want to overlook. There are also leveling up rituals that you need to create so that members celebrate each others’ progress through the “ranks” or levels in a community.

Upside to levels

Both of my sons were in Boy Scouts, and both achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. As is the case with video games, Boy Scouts motivate their members to move through the ranks through the curriculum and to become Scout, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and, finally, Eagle. The rank here ...
