About Achievements

Any self-training program must have a way to track progress. Achievements are virtual merit badges—small rewards you can claim for reaching specific goals, bragging rights or self-congratulations. However you think of them, it’s one way to track how much you’ve accomplished.

In sports it’s easy to judge progress. The amount of weight you can lift or the speed you can run, these things are measured numerically. If you track the numbers, you can see a nice graph of your progress. And you can give the person with the biggest numbers a medal.
