Understanding E-Learning

Welcome to your first e-learning project. As you begin, you face a number of challenges. First is working past the myths about e-learning. Some advocates claim it is more effective than the classroom. Some even claim it will replace the classroom. Neither is true. Studies suggest that e-learning is as effective as classroom learning—no more, no less—but teaches more efficiently. Learning time can be reduced by as much as a third, often more. And, as the e-learning movement grows, experts agree that e-learning works best when it is blended with classroom learning.
