Chapter 15. The Interface as Mediator
After you’ve completed the analysis tasks described in the previous section, you should have a good understanding of what the system you’re designing needs to do. In Part IV, we’ll look at some issues you need to consider when building the interface to the system.
We’ll begin in this chapter by looking at general approaches to designing interfaces and the different models you’ll want to think about. The amount of information I can provide here is, of necessity, limited. To refine your user interface design skills, you’ll need to turn to other sources. Several excellent books are listed in the Bibliography, and a visit to your local technical bookstore will undoubtedly reveal others.
