Web-based instruction and tutorials can easily include a variety of learning objects so that instruction can be flexible, interactive, and student centered. The development of reusable learning objects can help expand the repository of material that educators and librarians can access, embed, or modify for their instructional use. These objects can play a supporting role in active learning strategies in instruction, as well as in supporting student-centered learning environments.
