Formulating Requirements for FijiNet

A local telecommunication company on the Fiji Islands would like to offer Internet services to residential subscribers. The company, FijiNet, partners with Sun to develop a detailed architectural design for entering the ISP market.

With FijiNet as a fictitious sample customer, this section applies process and information presented earlier in this chapter to obtain and evaluate all requirements on which to base an architectural design within a realistic scenario.

In the next chapter, we show how to apply an architectural model and principles to FijiNet’s requirements.
