Chapter 17. Getting Them Signed In
When I started working on Dashboard HQ with Kris Hadlock, under the partnership name 33Inc, we fully intended it to be a great tool that everyone in the world would use to manage bookmarks online. I still believe it’s a great tool. But right about the time it launched, social networking became all the rage, and since our little application had no social features, it failed to pick up steam. Eventually, we lost our own steam, cut our losses, and canceled our plans to expand Dashboard HQ into a suite of productivity applications.
Regardless, the application lives on. I still use it as my browser’s home page to this day, and it still does its job extremely well.
