Network Voice

Often underestimated and widely underutilized is the power of voice. Get it wrong and people will see you as a corporate heavyweight. Get it right and you can build respect, trust, and goodwill: in short, the social capital underpinning a network relationship.

In an oversimplification to make the point, let’s imagine two voices: hierarchy voice and network voice, and then let’s look at the following:

  • Why two voices?
  • What’s the difference?
  • When does it matter?
  • What makes for good network voice?
