Control is the next Experiential Learning Variables & Indicators System element, the second of the ELVIS 7 (see figure 11). Control is all about choice—who has the choices and who makes the decisions. Control is part of the concept of agency, or our power to affect the course of events of an experience. Our sense of agency is how aware of that power we are, or what we believe ourselves to be capable of.
