Joseph Barber, Ph.D. (University of Southern California), Associate Clinical Professor at the UCLA Neuropsychiatrie Institute, has a private practice in Los Angeles. With his wife, Cheri Adrian, he coedited Psychological Approaches to the Management of Pain, which received the Arthur Shapiro Award from the Society for Clinical and Experiential Hypnosis as the best book on hypnosis in 1983.
