Dynamic Content Creation

Large web sites need to be data-driven. The HTML being browsed by the end user is a view of the database content, which has been rendered via a publishing system. Can we apply this same approach to producing content for other outlets, such as Interactive TV?

Clearly, XML and HTML fall into the same category as far as publishing is concerned. Since they are text files, they are both readily published by a content system. XML provides a means to describe graphics, and with a suitable graphics tool, we can import data and create dynamically generated images.
