Developing our currency converter

In our application, we will provide a feature for currency conversion in the shopping cart. This will help the end user to compare the total cost with other currencies. For this reason, we will create a jQuery template that has a drop-down menu that contains a list of the currencies supported by the API. When a user selects one of the currencies, he or she makes an AJAX call to find the equivalent value of the total amount of the shopping cart in that currency type. To build this converter component, we have to go through the following steps:

  1. Building the currency list dropdown.
