Abstract:

This chapter discusses design for fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP)/autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) sandwich panels for structural applications. The chapter first presents the finite element analysis (FE) of FRP/AAC panels. The FE results are compared with the experimental results showing acceptable agreement. Next, analytical models are presented to predict the deflection and strength of the panels.
