MONSTREUSIEN – COLD MEAT

CONCEPT

The term “Monstreusien” is a compression of the words “Monster” and “Montreusien”, which is the name of the inhabitants of my native city, Montreux, in Switzerland. The idea was to manifest a kind of Clive Barkeresque alternate reality, where all the nice and friendly Montreux citizens turn themselves into ugly drooling monsters. I’ve basically planned to make a series of images based upon this principle, with Cold Meat being the first that I’ve done based on a butcher’s shop.
