Forensic principles

Introduction

Forensics is the application of science to legal matters, and without abiding by a set of specific principles, it would be unlikely that any work performed would be accepted by a court of law. These include those which are extremely broad but relevant to all forensic disciplines and ones which are more focused and relevant to digital forensics only. Understanding the principles is as important as the science itself, as if they are not adhered to, even the most scientific of examinations by the world’s foremost authority may be deemed inadmissible.
