Chapter One. Introduction
Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked in various roles as an artist, from traditional designer and illustrator to jobs in all disciplines of 3D production. Only one area has been more rewarding to me than digital modeling, and that is teaching.
The information in this book is an accumulation of what I have learned during my career, and now I would like to share it with you. From understanding your role as a modeler in a production pipeline, to learning professional modeling methods and practices, to getting a job and much more, this book gives you the essential tools a digital modeler needs to work in the 3D industry.
