Looking ahead to the end of the decade, companies that lead in technology also will lead in revenues, profits, and growth. Many of the mega-corporations that used to be cutting edge in the past, but fell behind due to lack of agility and speed, may finally catch up and end up back on top.
Some of these companies likely are the market leaders of 2010 and 2020 that we discussed early on. But don't count out the digitally savvy innovators just yet. Disrupt or be disrupted is a strong mantra and motivator for innovative newer companies with great ideas (innovation), solid platforms (digital maturity), and the right culture that embraces explore, exploit, and disrupt.
