This book argues for a practice-theory-based approach to everyday photography, emphasizing people’s concrete activities and understandings around photographs, photography and photographic technologies, and how photographs are meaningful in people’s social lives. This book is particularly concerned with networked camera devices and the connected interactions they support.1 This is a good time for a book like this, since technologies-in-the-making are particularly useful for making visible what soon comes to be invisible and taken-for-granted (Latour 2005).
