Choosing the Right Software
Abstract
Before choosing the software that will manage your physical security solution, a requirements-gathering process is required to evaluate the existing security components and the way they need to interact. Often a VMS can meet the system requirements alone; other times it demands something more, such as additional modules, integrated add-ons, or a PSIM. The short- and long-term goals for the system should be uncovered and outlined so that you can determine the right software.
