As you saw in Chapter 12, particle systems are very versatile and can be used as the basis for many complex VFX. Created as single-point polygons, they can be used for sparks, fireworks, or swarming insects. When they are shaded with voxel shaders, you can use them for liquids, smoke, even popcorn. Attached to sprites, they can even create a fountain of copies of this book.
