Chapter 10 Creating Sustainable Duplication and Profound Depth

  • Newton’s First Law of Motion
  • A body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a straight line, except insofar as it is compelled by external impressed forces to change that state.
  • Newton’s Second Law of Motion
  • The rate of change of momentum is proportional to the impressed force and takes place in the direction of the straight line in which the force acts.
  • Newton’s Third Law of Motion
  • It is an immutable dynamic of physics that the harder you close someone at your Direct Selling presentation, the less they will duplicate.

Okay, I lied. The third law is mine. And while I’m being cheeky here, I actually believe my law is as immutable as Newton’s are. Here’s why…

There is a variable that comes into play with Gage’s Law, which isn’t present in Newton’s Laws: humans.

Unfortunately, if you want to build a large, successful team in Direct Selling, you’re going to have to do it with humans. And humans are irrational, logical, methodical, impulsive, thoughtful, mindless, hurtful, loving, petty, generous, lazy, and ambitious.
