Abstract

The energy storage systems (ESSs) are viewed as a promising solution for future high renewable penetrated power systems. In this chapter, the emerging problem of how to aggregate geographically spread small-scale ESSs for provision of frequency regulation services in multiarea microgrids is investigated.
