Adapting to the Evolving Information Landscape
A Case Study
Fontbonne University developed a general education online information literacy course in 2002 based on the ACRL Standards of Higher Education (2000). Over the years, the course has adapted to the changing nature of the information landscape with numerous revisions. The most recent revision aligned the course with the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy in Higher Education (2015). Revised content included the cultural impact of social media and threshold concepts from the framework.
