Dynamically scale images to the page width
Automatically resize large images so that they fit on a page in your PDF, without having to specify actual width or height values within the topic.
If you publish PDFs with different page dimensions, you may need to adjust the size of images. An image that’s 6 inches wide will fit on an 8.5 x 11 page with 1 inch margins, but it won’t fit on a 5.5 x 8.5 page. Of course, you can use scalefit on individual images to instruct the DITA Open Toolkit to dynamically scale them, but you have to remember to apply scalefit manually to each image. You can take this burden off writers and have the PDF plugin dynamically scale larger images to fit the available width.
