Diversity development requires a basic understanding of key terms in diversity. What follows is a brief discussion of each of these terms.

Attitudes

Attitudes are one’s innermost thoughts, feelings, and general tendencies. Although attitudes are not necessarily translated into behaviors, they often are acted out, even when such translation occurs in a subtle and unintentional way.
