Beyond the management of diversity, which we explored earlier, diversity is regulated in and around the organisation. Regulation is defined as an assertion of rules to change behaviour. OECD (2022, p. 1) defines economic regulation as the ‘imposition of rules by the government, backed by the use of penalties that are intended specifically to modify the economic behaviour of individuals and firms in the private sector’.
