Everyone (except citizens of Nepal and Bhutan) needs a visa to enter India. Nationals of most countries arriving at the Mumbai airport with an onward or return ticket can get a 30-day tourist visa online before their departure. For a longer stay, you’ll need to apply in person or by post at a Visa Office or at the Indian High Commission or embassy in your home country.
