8 Swarm Mode

Docker, as we have been using it, has all been running on a single machine. One of the big selling points of Docker is that you can make it much easier to deploy your code, and in this day and age we are not always deploying everything to one machine. There are also the issues of appropriately using resources on hardware, and as hardware gets bigger and bigger we don’t want to waste CPU or memory that is just idle.

With Docker Engine 1.12, Docker transitioned a seperate product, Docker Swarm, into an integrated mode called Swarm Mode.
