Managing custom types

A user-defined object type is called a custom type and the user-defined attributes are called custom attributes.Attributes are also known as properties. Custom types can be created, modified, and removed as long as certain rules are followed. These rules and other details related to managing custom types are discussed in this section.

Creating a custom type

A custom type can only be created by a user with Create Type privilege. Recall that Sysadmin and Superuser privileges implicitly include this privilege. The user creating a type becomes its owner.
