Abstract
Doherty power amplifier is a good solution for amplification of a high PAPR signal as clearly seen from the popularity in the base-station amplification. But the amplifier is less popular for handset application because of the nonlinear behavior and complex circuit topology. However, those problems can be solved by elaborated circuit design works. The bulky input power divider and quarter-wavelength transmission line can be replaced by simple circuits with small sizes.
