Lotus Notes/Domino 6 has a few new security features for system administrators and application developers. In this section we cover those that are mainly of interest to application developers of Domino 6 databases.
Extended access control list
An extended access control list (xACL) is an optional directory access-control feature available for a directory created from the PUBNAMES.NTF template—a Domino Directory or an Extended Directory Catalog. Use an extended ACL to apply restrictions to a user’s overall database access granted through the database ACL.
