03 SKETCHING EXERCISES
Sketching is primarily a way to free up your creativity. Sketching helps to loosen you up and to get you ready to work on your art. The reason that an artist should carry around a sketchbook with them all of the time is not so that they can create amazing artworks constantly. (I don’t care what you’ve seen on Instagram—that is not what a sketchbook is for.) Sketching is an activity more than it is a product. When you learn to sketch well it helps you to tap into your creativity and develop your intuition.
