TORTOISE
1 I begin by blocking in the basic shape of the tortoise. I use ovals for the body and head and then place the three visible legs. I also indicate the curves of the shell opening.
2 Now I refine the outline of the body, adding a slope to the back of the shell and a pointed beak to the face. I also place the eye and guidelines for the tortoise’s toes.
3 Next I erase any guidelines I no longer need before adding new guidelines for the shell ...
