STEP BYSTEP MAKING A PHYSICAL MODEL

Physical models can be made to scale or as abstract interpretations of a place. When making a scale model, the modelmaker will start with a map or plan of the site, which should suggest the topography or levels of the surface of the ground. This is a very good base on which to develop the detail of the model, and from this the modelmaker can introduce layers of buildings, spaces, and places.
