146 The Power of “mmm”
This may be a long one! It has been two weeks since I’ve written anything for you and since I wasn’t interested in the movie on the plane to Orlando, Florida, I wrote, and wrote, and wrote. Several themes ran through my mind so I’m just going to put them all down the way they came to me.
Sometimes when I am trying to invent new approaches to thinking while drawing, I end up way out in “left field.” But if you know anything about baseball, you’ll agree that left field has a legitimate role to play in the game. Anyway, going home from the studio a couple of weeks ago, I stopped for a cheeseburger (I get mine on whole wheat toast at Denny’s) and as I was eating it I noticed if I said “mmm” it made the burger taste better. ...
