A writer of ction or lm scripts must be highly skilled in the art of storytelling; how to develop and further the plot by use of characterization, dialog, action, locale, emotion, etc. All of those things must be interwoven and revealed at the proper time so the reader is whisked along through the story with as little intellectual discomfort as possible.
