Chapter 4. Building HTML5 Pages from Scratch

In the previous chapter, we completed our journey through the HTML5 layouts generated by Dreamweaver CS5. In the process, we learned to customize both the look and content of these layouts, and accomplished two things: we can build attractive, flexible pages; and we got an insight into real world application of HTML5 layout elements in combination with older HTML tags and older DIV tags.

In this chapter, we will learn to build web pages in Dreamweaver relying entirely on HTML5 layout tags. There are four things we will accomplish by learning to do that:
