Content and fields

Up until now, we have relied on the standard content types that come as part of Drupal. Almost without a doubt, you will want to modify these or create entirely new ones to suit your particular brand of content. Creating a new content type is a cinch and ties in nicely with the topic of fields since fields can be used to modify content types (whether they are standard content types or ones made up by you).

More importantly, the use of fields plays a crucial role in more advanced management and display of content and content types when we come to utilizing arguably the most important module available in Drupal discussed in Chapter 8, Views. Just to be clear:
