Importing products from text files

Inserting products by hand is an acceptable method if you have only a few products in your store. But what happens if you have hundreds, or even thousands of products? This method is time-consuming and not very productive for large stores. Consider that, if you have 10,000 products and it takes only five minutes to insert a single product, you need about five working months to complete the procedure. And you'll also have to face problems such as slow Internet connection or typing errors. That's why the best solution is to import the products from a text file. You can import products from three types or files: Comma Separated Values files, Semicolon Separated Values files, or Tab Separated Values files.
