Performance-based Seismic Design of Structures
The objective of the performance-based seismic design is to verify the seismic performance of the structure and to evaluate its seismic performance for various design limit states. For each limit state, the level of earthquake considered in the design may be determined depending upon the purpose and importance of the structure.
